“Whiskeytown” is a photojournalism project that showcases people, businesses, and the unique aspects of Peoria. The project sprouted from a desire to show people just how much Peoria has to offer by promoting local shops and sites. It’s named after the city’s lesser known nickname, Whiskeytown, which came from it’s former status as whiskey capital of the country.
